Pegasus Beaver Colony
The Beaver Colony started in September 2002 with 12 boys from the Falfield and Stone area. During the last year 5 Beavers have moved up to the Cub Pack and 9 joined making a current total of 16 boys. There is a waiting list of young children wanting to join Beavers when they reach 6 years of age. The 1st Falfield Beavers meet on a Friday evening from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and take part in various activities, including crafts and games in the Scout Hut or on the nearby grass area. Meetings are lively and noisy!
The new programme was introduced in September 2002 and the Beavers have worked towards and attained many of the new badges. To date one Beaver has been awarded the new Bronze Chief Scout Award.
The current Beaver Leader is Mike Thornton and parents are asked to help on a rota basis to ensure that there are sufficient adults for the number of young children, especially if they venture outside.
